Compensation: $17/hour
Job status: full-time, Non-exempt
Scheduled Hours 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; occasional Saturday morning availability required
Travel: None
Location: Houston, Texas; must be on-site – Telecommuting not available
Education: Two or four year degree in technical or business
Experience: Minimum 1 years of responsible work experience; IT experience preferred
Certifications: Microsoft Certifications, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ preferred

 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Resolve user-submitted, IT work tickets using Samanage ticketing system
  • Responsible for end user hardware/software installation, trouble-shooting and maintenance
  • Ensure inventory management and other internal policies are followed at all times
  • Responsible for coordination with other service teams for incident resolution and request provisioning
  • Manage and complete projects as requested by immediate supervisor

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills are desired qualities
  • Desire to learn and be part of an IT team
  • Microsoft Windows O\S and Office Suite experience
  • Experience providing remote fault analysis, via verbal communication and IT remote control tools (LogMeIn experience a plus)
  • Ability to configure and deploy desktop environments in accordance with the agreed standard configuration to authorized users
  • Ability to troubleshoot network printers
  • Capable of conducting tests of the hardware and/or software affected using supplier test procedures and diagnostic tools. Corrects malfunctions. Documents results in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Technical skills in Windows Server 2003/2012, DNS/DHCP, Networking, , Active Directory and/or Office 365 user account administration experience
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, CCENT, and other certs are not required but are a plus
  • Wordpress experience is a plus
  • Samanage ticketing system experience a plus
  • VOIP experience a plus
