Description

Are you the ASC expert at your office? Do you enjoy the challenge of a complicated new comparability test?  Do your colleagues bring their ASC and testing problems to you?

Nova 401(k) Associates is looking for several Senior 401(k) Administrators for our Defined Contribution Department. This position is designed exclusively to prepare work product for complex plans and has minimal client interaction. This is a fully remote position.  We will provide you with a home office setup including a computer and a phone so that you can interact with your colleagues from your home office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform complicated ADP/ACP, coverage tests, new comparability, and other tests that do not lend themselves to ASC scripting
  • Perform multi-group new comparability tests and other complicated 401(a)(4) tests
  • Prepare Forms 5500 for audited plans and takeover plans
  • Manage and prioritize workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment
  • Assist in training and mentoring entry-level 401(k) specialists
  • Make suggestions for updating documentation and processes
  • Perform work according to Nova policies and procedures
  • Perform initial review for junior staff members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Desired work experience:

  • 7 or more years of experience in non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 preparation, and plan administration
  • 3 or more years of experience in ASC

 

Skills needed:

  • Strong experience with ASC
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA and Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
  • Ability to perform new comparability testing in ASC
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Coachable and committed to professional development
  • Knowledge of Pension Pro is a plus

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Credentials with a nationally recognized organization (ASPPA or NIPA)

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary $80,000 - $110,000
  • Non-Exempt salaried (overtime eligible)

Work Location/Hours:

  • Work from home
  • Must work within the USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
  • Approximately 1-2 times per year travel to home office, company training or industry events. No international travel.
  • We will supply all necessary computer equipment
  • Work hours: 37.5 hours per week (regular business hours)
