Nova 401(k) Associates is looking to fill a Distribution Assistant Team Leader position in our Houston, TX office. The distribution team is responsible for processing 401(k) plan loans and distributions for a large volume of clients as well as maintaining an excellent level of customer service.

 

Nova 401(k) Associates is a vibrant and growing national third party, non-producing administration firm. We have a nationally recognized sales team allowing us to grow in excess of 20% per year.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of 10-11 staff members
  • Champion Nova 401(k) Associates values and policies.
  • Insure client and participant satisfaction through the loan and distribution process
  • Assist in managing the team to meet Nova’s performance metrics
  • Monitor team productivity through daily report generation
  • Assist with preparation of team daily workflow agenda
  • Assist in training and mentoring of junior staff members throughout the year.
  • Perform escalated reviews for work product prepared by your team members.
  • Keep current with new regulations and proposed legislation as well as an awareness of proposed legislation surrounding loans and distributions.
  • Assist with Nova client/broker educational seminars, webinars, or special Nova events.
  • Assist team members with annual client review meetings.
  • Communicate with participants, principals, clients, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals on plans assigned to your team throughout the loan and distribution process.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of supervisory or management experience, including minimum 5 years experience with loan and distribution processing
  • Ability to manage workload towards daily goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Committed to lifelong learning and coachable
  • NIPA or ASPPA credentials
  • College degree
