We provide administrative and actuarial services to companies sponsoring 401(k), pension and other qualified retirement plans.   We have a nationally recognized sales team allowing us to grow in excess of 20% per year that provides internal growth opportunities for our professionals. 

 

We are currently seeking a HR Administrator for our main office in Houston, TX.   This position requires 100% attendance in our Houston office.  100% remote work is not offered for this position.

 

Pandemic information – To allow for adequate social distancing in our Houston location, this position will provide a temporary adjusted schedule where one to two days per week will be worked in the office for the remainder of the pandemic.  Additionally, some interviews will be held via video conference.  At the end of the pandemic, work schedules will be reassessed and communicated accordingly.

 

This is a full-time position focused on providing HR support to the HR department.  No experience is needed; however, the desired applicant will be change resilient, organized, personable and extremely coachable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare job postings
  • Perform recruiting initiatives (including but not limited to campus outreach, entry level candidate sourcing, etc.)
  • Assist with interview scheduling
  • Perform HR generalist responsibilities, including drafting corporate-wide communications regarding payroll, benefits plans and other HR items
  • Replenish office supplies
  • Collect & track Password Policy Acknowledgements (quarterly)
  • Maintain office extension list
  • Plan special events (post-pandemic) & employee appreciation/outreach initiatives
  • Assist in provision of company gifts (includes researching options in price range, generating ideas of items, associated communications, etc.)
  • Assist with admin duties and projects that may include but are not limited to electronic filing, scanning, creating reports/forms, tracking of HR items and maintaining reports
  • Request guidance as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business, Human Resources or other applicable field desired
  • Customer service or related experience desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet goals and deadlines
  • Attention to detail with a high level of data entry accuracy
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • A team-player who can also work autonomously
  • Superior organizational and coordination skills
  • Committed to lifelong learning and coachable
  • Must be adaptable and able to reprioritize
  • Must have excellent multi-tasking skills
