401(k) Plan Specialist
Looking for a challenge with a vibrant company in a stable industry?! Are you excellent at communicating verbally over the phone and via email?
Nova 401(k) Associates is a rapidly growing national third party consulting firm providing administrative services to companies sponsoring 401(k), pension and other qualified retirement plans. We have a nationally recognized sales team allowing us to grow in excess of 20% per year providing advancement opportunities for our professionals. We are looking to fill multiple entry level positions in our Houston office with start dates beginning in November 2018. Although welcome, industry experience is not necessary and paid training will be provided. As part of the training program, candidates will be required to take four exams offered by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (RPF-I, RPF-II, DC-I and DC-II). Personal study time will need to be invested in order to pass these ASPPA exams. Also, accounting and financial schedules and concepts are common to our industry, so candidates should be comfortable working with numbers.

Job Responsibilities after paid training period:
- Preparation of IRS required compliance tests for review by other Nova account managers
- Development of a working knowledge of ADP/ACP, Coverage, Top Heavy & Annual Additions testing
- Preparation of Form 5500 and required schedules
- Preparation of employer allocation schedules
- Preparation of balance sheet and income statement
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Committed to lifelong learning
- Flexibility, adaptability and excellent multi-tasking skills
- Prior work experience in an office setting a plus
- Prior customer service experience a plus
